Tomorrow I'll be cleaning up my deviantArt Gallery, which means sketches will be removed (but will later be re-uploaded as packs). Tutorials deemed obsolete will also be removed, but only if a better one is ready to replace it.
Also, my theory for doing a lot of academic HW in advance is working, I've done enough stuff in advance that I have at least 5 days free to do or study art without distraction. It's so great, while my friends worry about their homework or incoming tests, I'm all like "Baha suckas, I got it all under control." Right now I'm studying Linear Perspective and then after that on to Color Theory and Watercoloring (just basic water coloring, no pony sorry). Then the second most important thing (for me anyway); Figure Drawing.
I believe an artist should get their fundamentals down before beginning to create, my faults have been jumping into drawing without having a solid foundation that an artist should have. Right another aside from the aforementioned, I'm trying to create a fictional Art Course, for myself and my local friends who also are beginner or amateur artists. I'm very good at teaching so this will be a great way to improve, both myself and for the advancement of others.
This will be implemented into my biography during the clean-up but until that happens I'll place it here:
I am a Hobbyist Artist, meaning my Official Occupation is not being an artist, it is however my passion and would have been my Major would it not for my knowledge of the financial difficulties of being one. I am trying to be a Computer Engineer; don't get me wrong I (ironically against what my High School transcript says) actually like math, and computers, who are paid rather well starting out, and even more so with experience! This is a common practice for those who want to pursue a profession that no longer pays well as it used to, using a high paying position to finance their true career. Not to say Computer Engineering is something I'm against, I actually hope to work with companies that deal with visual systems like Adobe, Intel, ATI, Microsoft, etc. so that I can combine Computer and Art together. This also why explains I like to work with both Digital and Traditional art mediums, apart they're fine, together they push things even further. My name is BoxedSurprise, and I Love Being an Artist (and pineapples).
Have a Great Day!
Sincerely,
BoxedSurprise

PaintToolSAI Version 2
Did you know that there's a version 2 of PaintToolSAI? I didn't haha. I remember the limitations of SAI just being related to canvas size. Most if not all industry professionals use Photoshop, Corel Painter, or CLIP Studio Paint (and ProCreate for iPad as that's becoming more widely accepted). I've not heard personally from a professional against SAI, it's more aptly skilled illustrators that fill that Freelancer space. Anyway I'm testing out the "Technical Preview" build of SAI 2 and seems about the same interface to me as bootleg version of SAI that I used to have (since deleted that because bollocks to that). Yeah did you know you SAI is a paid software and most deviants back in the day use a bootleg version in some form or another? Best response: "I can neither confirm nor deny that I downloaded PaintToolSAI from a place that wasn't SYSTEMAX". I'm just an Artist though.
Using dA a Different Way
I could've simply wiped my account clean of my old work. I could've but I did not as that would be pretending I didn't suck ass in drawing years ago. I guess deviantArt is great because it caters to all polishes of Creatives from humble printer paper beginnings to banging out beautifully painted works on a WACOM Cintiq. I still have a long way to ago in my art career even now but with things getting even busier--especially during unprecedented times like these--I'd like to come back to dA and give back some of the things of learn and continue to contribute to the overall pool of knowledge in making stuff, because really that's what I'm more interested in, making art and the Art of Making Art. That said I am also getting older and for sometime I've mostly worked on original work (I'm quite against using the term OC for myself because it usually denotes a derivation of an entity of an existent property) as well as Life Studies. I'm sure I'll make fanart here and there but
Get the Ball Rollin'
Things have been overhauled (back home), and everywhere else like the Art Glenn blog and YouTube channel. Now for this page, which has been a longstay of my Art Career.
